Who you are agreeing with
Belvedere Cookies is a sole-proprietor bakery operated by Hasret in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, United States. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Belvedere Cookies. "You" means anyone visiting belvederecookies.com or buying our pastries.
Using the site
You may read the site, share its content, subscribe to the newsletter, and write to us. You may not scrape it, mass-download it, attempt to bypass security, attack other visitors, send unsolicited commercial messages, or impersonate us or anyone else. We may, without notice, block IP addresses or accounts that misuse the site.
Newsletter
The newsletter is sent at most once a week. Subscribing uses double opt-in, meaning we email you a confirmation link before any further messages. Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe.
Pastries: orders, pickups, allergens
We sell pastries in person at the Brentwood Farmers Market and through occasional pre-orders. By buying our pastries you accept the following:
- Allergens. Our pastries are made in a kitchen that handles wheat, eggs, dairy, butter, almonds, hazelnuts, and other tree nuts. Even items not made with these ingredients may contain trace amounts. If you have a serious allergy, please ask us before you buy. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free product.
- Freshness. Pastries are best the day you buy them. Some items keep up to four days in an airtight container; ask us at the market.
- Pre-orders. Pre-orders are confirmed by email reply. We may decline a pre-order at our discretion, in which case any payment is refunded in full.
- No food advice. Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice. Calorie, carb, and ingredient details available on request.
Pricing & payment
Posted prices apply on the day of sale and may change without notice. Sales tax is collected where required by California law. At the market we accept cash, debit, and major cards. We do not save card details. Payment is handled directly by the card processor at the market table.
Refunds
If a pastry is defective, spoiled, or otherwise not as described, we will replace it or refund it on your next visit, no questions asked. Refunds for change-of-mind on perishable food are at our discretion.
Brand & content
The Belvedere Cookies name, logo, photography, recipes, and written content on this site are our property or used with permission. You may share links and short quotes with credit. You may not reproduce the logo, photos, or substantial text without our written permission. Recipes shared in the newsletter are for personal home use; please do not republish them commercially without asking.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites (maps, social media, payment partners). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is", to the maximum extent allowed by California law. We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free, complete, or always reachable. The pastries themselves are sold with the food-safety warranties required by California's Sherman Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Law and the federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and no broader warranty is given.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for anything connected with this site or with a single transaction is limited to the amount you paid us for the pastries in that transaction (or, if no purchase was made, twenty US dollars). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. This limit does not apply where California law forbids it. For example, fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by a defective product.
Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by events outside our reasonable control: fire, flood, power outage, supply-chain disruption, pandemic, labour action, government order, or similar.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You and we waive any objection to that venue. Nothing in these terms prevents either party from seeking small-claims-court relief.
Changes
If we change anything material we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, mention it in the newsletter. Continued use of the site means you accept the latest version.
